This Week's Dom's Digest
After a weekend of getting ready for Halloween and bonfire night with the family (you can check out our pumpkin efforts on my twitter feed), it's another busy week this week as my dad's going into hospital for heart surgery...
Our fingers are crossed everything goes well.
So whilst I'm waiting for news, here is your current Dom’s Digest. A quick snapshot list of interesting stuff I’m enjoying or thinking about right now...
The Self Welding Putty That’s Really Useful
Sugru Mouldable Glue - Original Formula - New Colours 8-Pack
I can’t even remember the amount of times this simple little gadget has helped me fix something.
It’s the world’s first mouldable glue that sets strong by turning into silicone rubber. It bonds to: glass, ceramic, wood, metal, most plastics & more. Forms a strong bond, mount and hang things without drilling, plus holds up to 2kg!
Always worth keeping handy for when you need to make that unexpected repair.
Classic Comedy That Makes Me Cry with Laughter
The IT Crowd on Netflix
I know - I’m a total geek, but I just can’t watch this show without cracking up.
It might be the expert writing of Graham Lineham but it just reminds me of the hilarity of my early working life in a corporate company’s IT department.
My favourites include “The Work Outing” (series 2) and “The Speech” (series 3).
If you’ve not see it before, give it a try.
Food Indulgence I’m Enjoying
This is a bit of a luxury item, but I do love my food!
I came across Truffle and sea salt during a recent trip to Malcesine in Italy. A local restaurant made the most amazing penne and the chef recommended this seasoning as the secret to the dish.
Sprinkle a pinch of this on pasta and I’m in heaven. Made from the highest quality European Black Summer Truffle (Tuber Aestivum), expertly blended with flaked Cornish sea salt it just adds that subtle truffle taste to anything it’s added too.
As always, I love getting your feedback on Twitter and email. Did you have a favourite from the list? Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for me to try?
Don’t be shy, let me know. Just send a tweet to @dcb_jones with #DomsDigest at the end so I can find it or you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to get in touch.
Have a great week!
